Reservations Required

Reservations are required to access our facilities and must be done online through our website.

Medical Recommendations

You are strongly advised to consult with your healthcare provider before booking the sauna if you suffer from specific health conditions such as heart/circulation problems, high or low blood pressure, cancer, diabetes or respiratory problems.

If you suffer from a cold, flu or other infection or contagious disease, or have an active skin disease, we ask that you do not visit our facilities.

The sauna is not recommended during pregnancy.

Disclaimer

The stove that heats the sauna, and the rocks surrounding the stove, are very hot, so please adhere to the safety protocols posted in the sauna to avoid getting burnt.

Move carefully and slowly inside the sauna, heat can affect your sense of balance, and surfaces may be wet due to steam, with the risk of slipping and falling.

Blue Forest Shores is not responsible for any lost, forgotten, damaged, or stolen personal items on our site. We encourage you to lock your valuables in your car.

If we must close the sauna due to poor weather conditions, we will do our best to reschedule your visit, or provide a full refund.

Code of Conduct

  • Wear a bathing suit
  • Sit on your towel in the sauna
  • If you take photos, please do not include other guests in the photos
  • Please arrive scent-free, including natural scents and essential oils. Essential oils and floral waters may be incorporated into the sauna experience, check with your hosts.
  • Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the sauna nor on the premises, smoking is permitted in designated areas only.
  • Please read our sauna reference book upon arrival, before using our facilities.
  • Listen to your body and honour your limits - don’t stay too long in the sauna, take breaks to cool off and hydrate.
  • Splash barrels are available for rinsing and cooling off between sauna rounds
  • If you go for a dip or swim in the ocean, don’t go alone, always go with a friend or ask staff for assistance

What should I bring?

Essentials

  • robe
  • swimsuit
  • slip-on shoes or sandals, and water shoes if you plan to dip in the ocean
  • fluid for keeping hydrated
  • at least two towels, one to sit on and one for drying off
